45 colt with 4-3/4" barrel in nickel finish with one piece walnut stocks shipped to Hartley and Graham on July 19th 1884 in a 19 gun shipment.
This 108,000 serial range single action retains a fair amount of it's factory nickel finish and the one piece walnut stocks are numbered to the gun.
This Colt was the personal property of George Milas Lasater of Palo Pinto County Texas at the time of his death in November of 1898. He had just campaigned for the office of county sheriff and before the votes were counted he was thrown from his horse on a Sunday afternoon and died a couple of days later. It ended up that he had won the election by 44 votes but was unable to fill the office. It was handed down through the years by the Lasater family to the great great grandson whom I acquired it from.
